Donner Summit Descent on Sierra Century Bike Ride

The Sierra Century Bike Ride takes place every September and includes a 100k (62 miles) or a 100 mile century ride. The scenery in the Sierra Century Bike Ride is stunning as you ride up and around Donner Lake and near the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in California.

On April 4 Pat and Jess set out from Springer Mountain to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Two months later they were half way through Maryland and almost half way on the trail when I met them to chat about how it was going.
